Charge 3 setup issues

I have just been given a brand new Fitbit Charge 3 today (1st June 2020) and I cannot get it to start. The start screen shows the Fitbit Logo and the message www.fitbit.com/setup.

I have tried the 8 second and 15 second methods to restart. The best result so far is the smiley face for a second then it reverts back to the start screen. When I connect to the charger cable, the screen does show the battery status (currently 94%).

The screen does not respond to swiping, tapping or holding.

Any suggestions greatly received.

Welcome to the Community, @Bertis58.

Thanks for troubleshooting this setup issue. If you are having problems pairing your Charge 3, I recommend taking a look at the help article: Why can't I set up my Fitbit device? and follow the instructions provided there.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂

I tried everything in that post as well as a number of other posts related
to setting up a Charge 3. If you had checked the notes on my account you
would have seen all the things I tried that were suggested by the Support
person.

Nothing worked... It could never connect with fitbit.com after every
possible fix, so I returned it today for a refund. I will never buy a
Fitbit again.

Had the same problem yesterday - bought two.  Returning two today!  What a shame and waste of time!

I'm just trying to head off the classic definition of insanity. Not sure if
I did or not.

Turn on and charge your device. To set up Charge 3, first connect it to the charging cable. For more information, see How do I charge my Fitbit device? Connect your device. Next, create or log in to your Fitbit account and connect your tracker.

Will
