My Fitbit does not seem to be tracking my sleep, especially deep sleep, correctly. Here's a few recent nights' sleep record. They make absolutely no sense.
Sleep becomes more shallow with shorter, more frequent REM sleep later in the night. REM basically follows deep sleep. As you can see these graphs have more frequent cycles early in the night, with sleep becoming deeper over time and REM occurring spontaneously. This is the opposite of what actually happens when we sleep.
I have had a sleep study done not too long ago and have no sleep disorders that would disrupt my sleep cycles, but even if I did the graphs clearly have no basis in reality.
Is this an issue with how I'm wearing the device, or just a limitation of the sleep tracking? I have tried wearing the device tighter or looser with the same results.
Ifi it's the latter, is there a way to remove the sleep cycle from my sleep score calculation in the app? I don't want to be seeing this information if it's not accurate.
