Charge 3 step count freezing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As was the case with my Charge 2, my Charge 3 frequently freezes up at a step count just short of 10K.  9984, or 9976, or 9991. Freeze may last for hundreds of steps or up to 10 minutes. I've shaken it, jumped up and down, to no avail.

Then, just as sudden, it starts counting again. My wife already thinks I'm weird with this, but when I'm walking up and down the hall in my pajamas for five minutes, trying to get that last 16 steps in, I am weird.

It's great to see you around, @SunsetRunner.

I am sorry for the delay in response and appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this freezing issue. I recommend taking a look at this post and follow the instructions provided there. After following them, test the unit.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂

Thanks for your reply. Although I have tried this procedure, my
symptoms don't match those of the others, so it's not clear this is the
right answer.

My charge 3 does not "freeze." It simply stops counting steps for some
period of time, always at around 9900-9990--just short of 10,000. The
rest of the display is fine. No distortion or lines as described by
others in this thread.

This last anywhere from five to 15 minutes, then the counter starts
working again.
