I’ve recently upgraded from a Flex 2 to a Charge 3, and while I like the new HR aspect, I’m disappointed that the Charge 3 is falsely counting steps that I haven’t done.
This wasn’t an issue with the Flex 2 and not what I’d expect from a newer model. It does it on smooth and bouncy roads. I don’t want to (and not should I have to) manually adjust my account every time I drive. I assumed the Flex 2 worked by not counting anything over a certain km/hr, as I’d noticed scootering or skating fast wasn’t picked up and I’d have to manually adjust. But now with the Charge 3, I can’t understand what is triggering the steps.
Pls advise a proper fix (not a dodgy or manual / inconvenient work around). Otherwise this step tracker isn’t doing what it’s been advertised to do and I’ll have to return it.

It's great to see you around, @KazJfitB.
I understand how are you feeling. Fitbit has worked hard to make sure that our devices do not pick up false steps or activity recordings while driving. Unless you're driving in a car with a very stiff transmission or on bumpy roads, your device should not give you any false readings.
If your device does record false activity, you can learn how to delete the data by following the steps in the article: How do I add, edit, or delete Fitbit data and activities?.
Let me know if you need anything else. 🙂

Hi AlejandraFitbit,
It was adding false steps even on a smooth freeway road and I have an automatic transmission. I was a passenger so I literally was watching it go up as we drove.
Does this mean my fitbit is faulty?
