Looks like a number of us owing a Charge 3 have had issues since December 22. I have had my Charge 3 since January 2020, after I returned an Apple Watch gifted to me for Christmas 2019. This is not my first Fitbit as I had a charge 2 prior to, but the screen had cracked that is why I was looking for a replacement. Anyway my Charge 3 worked right up until December 22, 2020. I had removed it to charge when I put it back on I noticed that the time was off when I tried to sync it wouldn’t sync. We went through all the suggestions on the help/ manual for the charge 3 and nothing works- forget this device etc. Frustrating because I can’t even wear it as a watch to tell time? My phone and Fitbit are both up to date as far as software updates and my Bluetooth is working as it is connected as a device on my Bluetooth. Any further suggestions??

Since your Charge 3 is still unable to sync properly, I'd like you to try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article may contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed accordingly.
After this, monitor your tracker and see if the issue gets fixed.
