Hi my charge 3 stopped working for no particular reason it has a slight vibration when I plug it in a brief picture of a smiley face will appear then disappear it has no charging display just a blank black screen.

If I have it off the charger and press the power button it vibrates also but nothing on the screen is it bricked or faulty goods is there a way out of this I tried all the steps posted still nothing the app does not see it in bluetooth ?? what next

Hi @Eibhe  As you dont say what you have tried, then I may be repeating things you have already done.

Try:

Restart your tracker several times  Restart your tracker

Try a Long Restart

CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

Try changing the clock face in the app

If none of them help please come back here.

Hi Nelly sorry for the short detailed post but ya I have tried the steps you have posted too many times now with the same outcome, when I put it back on the charger I get the smiley face for a few seconds then black screen it is on and charged because anytime I press the power button it vibrates so I cant even default back the face because I've no display.

Unfortunately, I am having a similar problem. I have also followed the steps and still, nothing has changed. There is no flashing light on my Fitbit anymore, the screen is black, and it will not connect to my phone. However, when I reboot it a smiley face will appear, but once it disappears, the screen is black again.

If you could reply with a resolution that would be great.

Regard,

Saoirse.

The exact same thing is happening to mine. Resetting doesn’t cure it. I haven’t had it in water or down anything out of the ordinary.

Hi my Fitbit Charge 3 is only 5 months old and it has just stopped working. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting tips from the other texts, but nothing helps. My screen is black and there is no vibration at all when I plug it into charger. Nothing happened to it, no fall no water. It just stopped working. Anybody any advice please

I am having this same issues.  I've followed the directions to hook it to the charger & hold the button for 15 seconds, then remove from charger & then reconnect to charger with no avail.  The "Best Answer" is not listed & when I click on "see best answer in original post" nothing happens.  Can someone please help me since my Fitbit Charge 3 is not working at all.

Yes this is very frustrating, my Fitbit is only 5 months old! Unfortunately I can’t find my receipt, so I can’t return it. I am very disappointed with Fitbit, and will never purchase another one. This seems to be a very common problem with the Charge 3. So annoyed with the customer care from Fitbit too!

Have you heard from the support team? I am having the same trouble. Restarted many times and no response. Very bummed

I also have had the same problem. 3 times! I bought a charge 3, a few months later it just stopped working. Went through all the fixes, customer support ended up sending me a replacement. About 2 months later, same thing. Another replacement. About 2 months later, same thing! I gave up. Really disappointed, I liked it but it was such an aggravation to go through the same exact defect 3 times in less than a year. Maybe it’s just something about the chemical makeup of my body?

thanks for the response, I took proper care of all 3 of my Charge 3 fitbits. They still stopped working. They never irritated my skin. I'm thinking about getting a Charge 4 and trying it again, but don't want to throw more money away if it's just going to stop working again.
