IveI've my Charge 3 since October 2018, recently while wearing it, the screen wake wasn't working or coming on when tapped, then the button on the side was not registering either. I thought maybe the battery had died, so I charged and reset it, but once it came back on, it continued to flash the screen on and off while also vibrating like I am pushing the side button repeatedly. Resetting is not working, I bought it from REI but don't have the packaging anymore.

Hi @AmandaJasp Try a long restart, but I will flag your post for a moderators assistance in the meantime.
CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

I just tried your advice and had no luck. The smiley face is flashing, in and out various brightnesses, and when I hold the button it just keeps vibrating under my finger randomly and continues when I let go.

My Charge 3 has been a problem since I got it. Most things I have managed to fix. Not this time.
It won't charge. It won't reset. It vibrates. No Smiley face. No screen. I had a red solid light, then an amber solid light, now no lights.

Mine is also doing this now. Just purchased at the end of Nov. I've tried the long start also with no success. The screen looks and feels like the side button is stuck in the pressed position. Any other ideas on how to fix this?

Mine ended up being replaced under the warranty.

Hello had my charge 3 since March 2019 and it has started just constantly flashing on and off. Tried putting it on charge and the long start but nothing works.
Any ideas of what I can do next?

Mine started doing the same thing. It still syncs and will stop buzzing when on the charger. Also when on the charger a line goes across the center of the device like it were to be updating, but it’s been over an hour and the line hasn’t moved.

Mine did this as well. When I attempted to do a hard restart, the smiley face got stuck on for a bit. Then it went back to vibrating and going to notifications on/ off.
While it was plugged in, it became extremely hot to the touch, I was afraid to leave it plugged in so please be careful readers. When I contacted customer service, they agreed to replace it. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen with my replacement. Overall, I do like the device.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I've tried the 15 second restart and it doesn't do anything... The watch constantly vibrates and the screen stays blank. It will not sync with the app.. Ive had the device since Oct 2018... What should I do next?

My Fitbit started giving me problems when I went tubing and got wet. I was able to use your advice and it started up again when I accidentally went swimming with it, and now it started doing the same thing and I tried using your advice again but now it's frozen. I got it for Christmas so I have only had it for 8 months.

Mine is doing the same thing and I got is almost exactly a year ago. It even vibrates and flashes constantly while on the charger so it won't let me do a hard reset. I just charged it after getting the 001 error code yesterday, so it has a full charge. I guess I'll try letting it die and then see if it is still having the same problems after charging or if it will let me reset it. Any other suggestions?
