Charge 3 vibration and syncing issues

Charge 3 suddenly started buzzing and vibrating like mad. Displayed all sorts of weird things/goals 5,400 mins? that make no sense. This went on for about 15 mins. Managed to stop it by turning it off (put it on the charger then held the side button on the Fitbit down for 8 secs), which has made it behave, but it is still is not syncing.

 

It has only synced once today and yesterday since my iPhone X updated yesterday (11th May). Have turned Bluetooth off and on (all other Bluetooth devices unaffected), turned  phone off/on many times without success.

 

Told my iPhone Bluetooth to forget the device and started to re-pair with the Fitbit plugged into the charger on my laptop. It has now synced without having to type in the code etc.

It's great to see you here, @Surreygirl.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix the vibration and syncing issues. Are you still having these problems? Is your tracker working properly?.

Thanks for following up. I did manage to sort the synching issue and for the last couple of months it has been fine.

BUT yesterday it started vibrating non-stop but nothing showed on the display. I couldn’t see any message or icons. It buzzed and vibrated for a few minutes then stopped.

I didn’t think anything more about it but when I came to check and synch later the Fitbit was completely dead. No lights flashed on the back, nothing on the display and it had stopped measuring heartbeat and steps at the time it had started buzzing madly.

I have contacted Amazon as I purchased it from them only at the end of April and they are sending me a replacement.

Bit disappointed as it was barely 3 months in use.
