Charge 3 with Charge 2 Retro clock face

Love the Charge 2 retro clock face on my Charge 3. These old eyes can see the info without my glasses 🙂 However, sometimes I look at it and the data is seemingly randomly my heart rate.  Other times it is my steps, which is what I always want to see. I have my main goal set to steps. Any ideas to always make it display steps? Am I pushing something wrong?

Welcome on board @dtrent31, it's nice to see you around here! Maybe you're taping on the clock face to progress through the stats and you never go back to steps display?

For example, if you go through the stats by tapping the clock face and you stop where the calories are showing and then the display goes off, at the time you turn on the display it will remain the calories. So, I'd recommend every time you go through the stats to make sure to go back to the step display.

Hope this clarifies your inquiry. Let me know if you need further assistance!

I agree those are good thoughts, but I don't think that is the problem. I never go through the stats unless I am trying to get back to my steps from the thing that shows up when I look.  So, it is on steps every time the display goes off (If I am looking at it - I guess I can't be sure what it is if I'm not looking). Is there a way to completely reload the software (maybe that is the problem)?  I'm still stumped.

Thanks for getting back @dtrent31! I'd recommend restarting your Charge 3 by following these steps. Then, try changing the clock face to a different one to see if the steps remains as the default.

Let me know the outcome!

It is an issue!  A really annoying one that needs to be fixed.  I think one of your updates may have caused this issue.  I just returned one, after many months, because this suddenly kept happening to me.  You sent me a replacement this week and I have the same issue.  Can you please fix this problem that has suddenly started happening over the past month or so?

AND YES! I HAVE FOLLOWED ALL THE TECH SUPPORT INSTRUCTIONS FITBIT TOLD ME TO DO AND IT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM...THIS IS NOT USER ERROR!!!!!!
