Charge 3 won't charge

I received this model as a Christmas gift in 2018. I think I’ve only been able to use it for 6 weeks. I am on my second Charge 3 after contacting the company when the first one was determined to be a dud. Now this one won’t charge.

 

I have tried everything. I am about to lose my mind. Anyone have any other suggestions for charging this thing or is the Charge just garbage? I've tried:

  • Cleaning components
  • Ensuring everything lines up
  • Replacing Fitbit
  • Replacing cord
  • Plugging it into everything
  • I've tried every room in my house
  • Anything with a USB port has been tested as a charging source.

Its now dead (again) and I can’t reset it. I know it sounds pathetic, but, I’ve never been this frustrated and disappointed over a product not functioning. Any last tricks to try? I’m really losing my patience.

I’ve been offered either:

 

-a new Charge 3 for Free (would be my 3rd)

or 

-50% off another tracker

 

I am disappointed.

I do not feel that this is fair.

I don’t have the funds to put $40 out to try a new tracker (the inspire is the least expensive option).

To try a 3rd Charge, the only free option, and most likely go through the same frustration is not something I’d like to do.

Back in the day I had the Flex and the Zip.

Both never really presented a problem with function until I used them for over a year (they were attached to an old email account of mine, same user).

I would like to be offered the inspire, not even the hr, or the most simple model available for free.

Please check the history of the Charge in my account.

Due to inability to charge it will show the frustration.

I need a replacement tracker other than the garbage Charge 3.

This company is a sham.

Its gone downhill.

I guess the warranty should be worded “you will spend $150 on a piece of trash you will use for a month, then, get the same piece of trash replacement that works for a week, then you aren’t our problem anymore”.

 

Some people do not have disposable incomes. 

 

After this experience I really do not want to purchase another Fitbit. I will Shaw my experience with my 1300 + Facebook friends and family to ensure they don’t make the same mistake.

You treat your customers quite poorly and their are other options available that I will look into.
