Charge 3 won't display steps on clock face

My steps are not displayed on the watch face. I have to log into the Fitbit app to see them. Is there a way to get them to display on the watch face?

A warm welcome to the Community @nbarkach.

Have you checked all of the clock faces for Charge 3 and searched for one that display your steps? If you haven't, I recommend searching for a clock face that shows your steps. To change the clock face, follow the instructions provide in the help article How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?.

Let me know how it goes. Man Happy

I have the clock face with steps saved, have synched phone/Fitbit multiple times and it's still displaying heart rate! Frustrating.  Anyone else having issues?? I even tried switching out clock faces

Im in the app under my account, and there's no "clock face" option. It looks like it was moved or disabled. Now what?

I also have this problem.  I have changed my clock face 3 times to have just the time and steps, it will work for a couple hours, then my steps go away and something else will take it's place, usually stairs.  Very frustrating because I'm more interested in my steps than anything else and don't want to have to swipe to see them.

Is there a resolution to this issue yet? I have chosen a clock face that shows my steps twice. The first time it switched to stairs, and after resetting it again, it took only a couple of hours before it switched to distance.

Fitbit seem to be ignoring this but I have found there is a simple resolution. A gentle tap on the clock face changes the statistics it displays. So the random changes are probably caused by unintentional taps, and can be resolved the same way.

I don't think thats the case.  yes, tap the screen, and it will change to the data I want to see.  however, before, it always showed STEPS on the 1st screen, and now you have to tap every time you want to see it.

There is something wrong!

Thank you. I brought it back to target and they exchanged it. I’m a
hairstyle and it tracks as I move my arm when I’m blow drying hair. Is
there a way to prevent it from tracking steps from arm movements?

Tapping on the clock face works like a charm. Just keep tapping until you see the activity you want.

Agreed, you can tap the face several times, but do you know how to get your steps to display on the home face?

OK - this seemed to work for me, and I suggest you try it:

Download another random face onto your Charge 3.  Make sure that works.

Then, download back on to your Charge 3 the original face you wanted - and on mine, it seems to have the steps back on as the default initial screen (home face) along with the time / heart rate.

I saw tons of clock faces, but none seem compatible with the charge 3. Which one do you recommend?

Try wearing it on your ankle instead of on your arm.

Maybe I didn’t explain. It shows a circle with footprints and a clock type face that diagrams your steps. Doesn’t actually display the number of steps.

The one I use I think is called Retro.

It shows the time in numbers ie 01:34

And the date : JAN 20

Then the steps, picture of feet with number of steps achieved so far

And heart rate - picture of a beating heart, and a number.

I have found this is the best combination.

Hope that helps
