Charge 3 won't stop vibrating and flashing between screens

Screen flashes continuously from clock face to notification/screen wake and vibrates.  Holding button down does not restart and unable to get to reboot functionality.

Welcome on board @sgamper2007! Thanks for trying to restart your Charge 3 in order to solve the issue with the screen. Nice way to go!

 

I'd like to confirm you followed every single steps provide below to properly restart your device:

 

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display. 
  4. Press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

 

If the restart doesn't work, please try changing the clock face to a different one to see if this brings back the display to work properly. As long as your tracker syncs (you can check this on the app) you can change the clock face even if the screen frozen or stuck.

I did all of this and it was no help. the device no longer is keeping time, it isn't synching with my phone. I tried repeatedly to do these steps and it would not restart. I've had this device less than 4 months. completely unimpressed with it.

I am having the same issue now my fitbit will not turn on at all and I got mine for Christmas

My Charge 3 started experiencing the same problem last night.  It would vibrate intermittently and switch to one of the other screens (?Wake/Notifications?).  This AM the battery was depleted because of all of the vibrating, etc overnight.  I plugged it into the USB, let it charge, and tried a reset.  However, the side button is no longer working.  My Charge 3 won't reset, and I can't even use the button to move back through the screens.  I've also tried changing the clock face.  Still nothing.  The button is still not working.

I am having the same issue have charge 3 screen is vibrating and constantly flashing between clock and screen wake/notifications screen , restarted charge 3 changed clock face but no luck my fit bit is less than 4 months old ! 😞 help!

I followed up with support via Twitter.  They opened a support case for me, and since my Charge 3 was still under warranty, a replacement is on its way to me.

My charge 3 is also vibrating and flashing constantly.  I have tried rebooting it using the suggested method multiple times, and it continues to flash.  On this last attempt it froze on the Screen Wake/Notifications screen and is no longer responding. Because the screen was continually flashing and unresponsive I was unable to manually reboot.

Yes I had the the same experience bought it in February and had to replace it by May ....
Support are usually really good in responding and sent me a fast replacement

My Fitbit charge 3 is constantly vibrating& I can’t move anything to see the different settings,it’s now on charge all that’s on the screen is a straight line
