The can't find it language makes me think that you may be trying to pair your tracker through your phone's bluetooth controller.  That will not work -- guaranteed.  You have to pair from inside the Fitbit App.

Are you trying to pair from your phone's Bluetooth controller or through the Fitbit app?  Your phone cannot find the charger.  Guaranteed.  All you will get is a not found response.  You have to pair from inside the Fitbit app.

Nah - I was following their instructions. About an hour after I gave up, it finally paired. I am certainly not as happy with the 3 as I was with my 2.

I have a windows phone 8.1 and a windows 10 pc my charge 3 special edition will not pair with either , I have googled the heck out of this issue and nothing has worked. I will be returning it boxing day and may try something else as this is not good for a brand new device , it has also put me off buying any future fitbit devices.

very helpful (not) my device is compatible but the Microsoft Lumia 640xl is not windows 10 it is 8.1

so does it work or not , I have always used Fitbit but this $260 charge 3 special edition is useless , if you have to jump through hoops just to get it to pair what's the point , and even after jumping through all the internet hoops it still does not pair , did you even test this device

This morning I timed my Fitbit Charge 3 sync - 3 minutes and 13+ seconds before the "worm" stopped revolving. And that's holding the Cell phone in my left hand so its less than 6 inches from the Charge 3 and Bluetooth had been manually turned on before I stated the app. Pa-thed-ick.

On the other hand my Omron Welless app read the Blood Pressure Cuff in 13 seconds. THAT's the way Fitbit should run.

Mine finally synced - took about 2 hours (which makes no sense to me).

I've tried every step you have said to take to try and sync my FitBit Charge 3 with my phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3.  I bought my Charge 3 in October and it synced just fine and in the past month it is not syncing.  I've unpaired it from my phone and the app, uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, cleared user data, turned on and off blue tooth, rebooted the Charge, restarted my phone, held the button down on the Charge until the smiley face showed up, nothing works.  My phone can initially find the Charge but after I type in the 4 digit number it cannot find it.  What else can I do?  My husband has a Charge 3 also and was having problems and he has the same phone I do.  He finally got his to sync but we cannot get mine to.  Thanks.

I am also having a sync issue.  I tried to follow the instructions here but.....The charge 3 shows up under "Previously connected devices" and because it isn't currently connected I don't get an exclamation point (!).  I also can't click on the connect and get it to connect with my Fitbit and from the Fitbit app cannot force a sync. Have turned off bluetooth on everything....turned back on.  Have reset the Fitbit several times.  Last synced yesterday evening.  Had this same problem yesterday morning....after about 20 minutes finally got it to sync.  No such luck today.  Not sure I can spend time every day trying to make "sync" work.  This is my second Charge 3.  Customer support was never able to help me sync with Windows 10 computer so I only use my phone.

I posted a suggestion in the discussion

Charge 3 will not sync

It solved my problem and that was 4 days ago.  Basically turn off the options to stay connected in the app.

Thank you for your reply. I couldn't find your prior post.  Could you please tell me how to turn off the options to stay connected.   Thank you.

I'm having the same problem.  It was working fine for about a week but now it just continues to not sync unless I go through the whole set up process.  Not willing to go through that every day.

Try deleting the Ch3 from the app.  Turn off All the options, all day sync, always alive, keep connected.

Make sure Ch3 is on charge and your phone is really close.

Add the Ch3 back into the app.  Type code when requested.

And wait.

This is what I did having trying several things for a week.  Run perfect now.

Turn off always alive, keep connected. Possibly all day sync.  Delete Ch3 from app then put Ch3 on charge with phone very close by.  Re add device. Enter code then wait.

Thank you.  How long do I wait?  I've already done all of the above and I type the 4 numbers in and that's as far as I get.  I've waited up to an hour.

Check that the code has not come back. Otherwise - possibly another hr. If it is trying to syn all your old data then it will probably take quite a while.

One other thing you can do is have your phone on charge while doing this. It is less likely to go into powersave/sleep mode etc.

@MarreFitbit Thank you very much for your suggestion, just one question. Won't that delete my progress?
