Charge 3 won't sync

My Charge 3 at times, does not sync or takes a few minutes to sync. Says "Device cannot be found". I also do not receive notifications. Also takes a few minutes to connect. I'll place it in the charger, push button and wait for smiley face. Takes way too long to connect before I run.
