Hi there @LaLa1234568, welcome to the Community Forums.

Before anything else, I'd like you to make sure that the mobile phone you're using is included here Which phones and tablets can I use with my Fitbit watch or tracker?

Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported and does not meet the require OS we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.

For troubleshooting steps, pleas see Why can't I update my Fitbit device?

I have a xiaomi redmi note 8 pro, so I have the required android software (7.0 or higher), but it's not in the list of compatible devices. Could this be the problem?

Synchronizing does work, which makes it strange that updates don't.

Thank you for your answer!

@LaLa1234568 As you've stated, please note that your Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is not yet an official device supported by the Fitbit app. This would explain the issues you're having between your Charge 3 and phone.

Keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.
