I have reached out to Fitbit several times about getting a replacement for my broken Fitbit. It only broke due to a design flaw so you would think Fitbit would replace it. I am frustrated and disappointed that Fitbit would treat its customers with little respect. I was shoot until my Fitbit broke and have been patient through the process of trying to replace my Fitbit. I feel like I am in a laundry machine getting nowhere. Has anyone else have a broken band connector? Did they replace your Fitbit?

I hope everyone has better luck than I did. With customer service. They didn't offer any help. All I need is a new one of the connector pieces with button and screws. I had my fitbit for 14 months and the connector broke. They even told me it was a design flaw (their fault in that case) but the best they would do is give me a coupon for 30% off a new fitbit, but it can only be used in the fitbit store (the most expensive place to buy a fitbit). I'm not spending $100 a year on fitbits. I won't buy another fitbit. There are other options

The problem is not compatibility or the bands themselves. The problem is on the tracker itself. No matter what band, at some point the bands don’t latch.

My son bought Charge 4's for me and his girlfriend Christmas 2020. A year later, On the same day, both of our bands broke at the connectors and we called customer service. They sent me a replacement, and only gave her a 35% discount because she activated hers a week before I did. Now 5 months later, my battery will not hold a charge. Customer support said the warranty is based off of the original item, and will not replace it. At this point I will likely go with a product that is better, and not built to be replaced annually. Terrible customer service.

I agree. I ended up getting a Charge 5 on Amazon And it’s holding up so far. It’s taking me longer to get familiar with it but we shall see how long this one will last.

This is just an option to still be able to wear the tracker after the connector breaks. It has a holder you slide the tracker into so it can still work and you don't have to buy a new fitbit

Thank you, checked it out and ordered. BTW, when I complained to Fitbit about my problem, they closed my case!!!

This is why I will avoid the charge 5. Fitbit intentionally removed functionality. I rely on the altimeter.

I got my fitbit as a gift December 2020, so no receipt for me. It was a upgrade to the "original" fitbit that I had since 2016. About 3 months ago the connector broke, not completely though. I actually glued it back and it worked great until about 3 weeks ago when the battery decided to just die for no reason. It was in and out for weeks. It used to last several days, but now it barely lasts 3 hours. Today, it was fully charged at 7:30am but as of 8:50am, its already down to 73%. I noticed Monday that it's not registering my steps, but it counts some of the calories. It's so odd. This fitbit is useless to me, and I'm scared to invest in another one. I think I may look into other brands...

This comes up again and again and again for the charge 4 in the forum. A solution is to buy a band that fits the pebble--fitbit doesn't sell this, but you can find them on Amazon. I bought one called a supcase and it works with the broken connector.

I bought one. It works but is not very elegant. Still, it is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new Fitbit...

Mine just broke after 8 months and this was a replacement for the one that broke after 11 months. Their policy is to offer you 35% off a new replacement. Bogus since this is an obvious defect of the product. I feel your frustration. I’m pushing back but that’s all I received last time and now 8 months later I’m in the same bind.

If you search Amazon for "fitbit charge4 case band" you should find a few options that will work with a broken fitbit

Funny thing is the one that just broke was a replacement for one that was broke and therefore no warranty. Ridiculous!

Yup, one year from the original activation! Even though they acknowledge their product has this defect they don't give a **ahem** about their customers. Keep buying another new one every year for $125+!!!

Exact same thing just happened to my Charge 4. I was literally sitting watching TV when the connector piece broke. I agree. Seems like a defect in the product. I had noticed that with my smaller than average wrist (using the 4th smallest band hole on the small band), it never seemed like a tight fit at the connector site but just figured that was normal. Really disappointed that their solution was a code for 35% off another Fitbit.
