About 4 days ago, my 17-month-old Charge 4 suddenly started holding a charge for only about 6 hours, despite my disabling the GPS. As of yesterday, it wouldn’t charge or turn on at all, although it would vibrate when I connected it to the charger and pressed the start button. As of today, it won’t even vibrate when on the charger. The battery seems completely dead. My Fitbit app says it can’t find the Charge 4.
I’ve tried EVERYTHING in the link below, and I know the charging cable works. It has been on the charger more than 24 hours —and still nothing. Please help!
I’ve tried everything here:

I called the helpline and they where very helpful.Told me to return the charge 4, they sent me paid postage label. Within 10 days they replaced with a new charge 5. Very happy with the outcome. Give it a try.

You must have bought your fitbit much more recently than I had. Once a certain time passes, Fitbit helpline will suggest the options in the link on my original post, and if those don't work, they just encourage you to buy a new Fitbit. From dozens of posts I've read, Fitbit 4s seem to quit working after about a year and a half. (Mine stopped at 17 months.) At that point, you're on your own.

I had one of my Charge3 devices replaced under warranty in late 2018. It failed after four weeks. It was a bit of an ordeal about 16 emails over 3 days with demands from Fitbit to make a video of me trying charging, resetting and so on. Then the replacement unit came loose in a little plastic bag, without straps or charger - the original strap and charger were ok but compared to the slick original packaging, having the replacement bare unit only and having to get the straps off the original dead item so I could send it back, it was all quite unpleasant.
I’m paid more per hour than the price of a new Fitbit Inspire, so I’m not going to waste three days arguing with Fitbit when my device is out of warranty.

I love Fitbit BUT IVE HAD TWO Charge 3’s and as of now my charge 4 has done the same thing! I was the most careful with my second Charge 3 and MEGA careful with my Charge 4.
However, I will say this … the Fitbit team helped me a lot when both Charge 3’s died within a year. If I remember correctly. 🤔
In the end though… for my birthday my family bought me an Apple Watch 7, because I am young and have heart issues and all my devices are Apple.
I do wish the Apple Watch was more fitness focused like Fitbit but the incompatibility with Fitbit and Apple sucks and now things are more “seem less ”.
I love Fitbit however I am moving on, I’m sad to leave. The learning curve with Apple Health is hard but Fitbit’s breaking on someone who treated them like gold was the last straw.
Not to mention the money I spent!

I have the same issue as documented by it seems 100s of unfortunate users - device won't charge or wake up irrespective of how long you charge for or what you connect to, none of the troubleshooting steps work.
On to contact via the contact page referred to, simply says "We are experiencing extremely high contact volume right now and estimated wait times will be higher than normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide support as quickly as possible. In the meantime, please visit our Help C" thanks for nothing basically!
