The Charge 4 (didn't have this problem with the charge 3) has an issue with heart rate. There are multiple posts all with the same issue.
Here's what I know so far.
When sat down the charge 4 will jump to 110. I know this is incorrect as I have a pulsometer and a blood pressure monitor which match and are what I know my heart rate to be.
Turning off HR and rebooting does not fix it.
Re-syncing it does not fix it.
Tightening my wrist strap makes it ever so slightly better (by that I mean it will eventually get to the correct reading sometimes) but it still has the same issue. I can't tighten it anymore.
If I was to hazard a guess it seems to be when the fitbit is moved so for example if I sit perfectly still eventually it comes down to almost the correct reading however just by typing this I am now at 98 when I know my pulse rate is 76.
What I would like to know is this an issue with all Charge 4's or just a few? Do I need to get a replacement?
I pay extra for fitbit because I expect better quality however this is just not good enough. If anyone has any fixes that work then let me know but I'm at a loss as to what I else I can try.
Thanks.

You're not the only one. I've had this with a Charge 3 (measured sometimes 90bpm while having difficulties with breathing while riding my citybike with 40km/h on a flat surface). I don't trust my Charge 4 either, but didn't check it yet. So Fitbit doesn't have the heartbeatdetection that well. I notified them of this fact and offered them help. However they didn't accept it. So the problem still excists (for over a year now) and you are not the only one.
