Charge 4 Sleep Tracking Advice

I just recently got a Charge 4. Well, yesterday actually. Got it used and absolutely no manuals with it. I am part of the Premium subscription.

I'm really only using it for sleep tracking. Put the manual I'm going to sleep last night and it told me restlessness and sleep but not the REM vs Light vs Deep. I clicked that I'm going to bed on my phone and then when I woke up. Should I not do that and just go to bed? Would that actually give me my REM vs Light sleep. I'm looking for sleep stage.

Maybe I had it on too loose? (Per another forum)
Maybe I just go to bed without using the app on my phone?
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Also is there no way to turn the thing off? I've got another watch I wear during the day and really only need the Charge 4 to be on at night. I don't want to keep the battery on the charger all day if it's just going to ruin the battery.

Hi,

The Charge 4 should know when you fall aspleep and wake up without your help.  You need to give it time to connect to the phone app on its own after you wake.  If you check first thing after awakening you could see an incomplete report that will be completed half an hour later.  The phone app lets you set when you normally plan to go to sleep, so the watch can remind you it is bed time and not much more..  .

Wear it snug (comfortable) on the wrist that you told the app you wear the Charge 4.,

I am suprised it doesn't have an indoor bicycle setting, so you could compare results with the Peleton.

Explore the app for how to setup things on the watch and in the app.

I've seen that they say not to set it saying you're going to sleep now. I've had my charge 4 for a year and just accidentally got premium renewed for another year, which is expensive. Mine rarely tracks my sleep and usually when it does it will only give me the basic sleep info and says I have to sleep for more than 3 hours to get a sleep score. And I will have slept for longer than that. But what is most irritating is day after day I go into my app and sync my fitbit and scroll down and it tells me 'wear your fitbit to bed"

X@#!!?

I'm over it and wish I could get either a replacement fitbit that isn't a charge 4, or at the very least a refund for the automatic premium renewal. Because I, too only got premium so I could get "advanced sleep analytics"! 09
