2 years old charge 4. A full battery now lasts 8 hours so the time is wrong and doesn’t track anything after lunchtime. Problems emerged after one year… features stopped working and you have to re set up occasionally just to get it to function as a simple digital watch. Too much effort for too little return. You’ve lost us fit bit. Rubbish product

Hi there, @Dudproduct. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4. I understand how you must be feeling.
Please note the battery life will depend on how frequent certain features are used such SpO2 tracking, Spotify app, and so on. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, but it's to take these conditions into consideration.
I'd recommend following the tips described in this help article to maximize the battery life, fully charge your Charge 4 using the charging cable that came in the box and monitor its behavior in the next days.
As for the other issues, may I have more details so I can provide assistance?

I’ve tried everything to fix battery draining to quick! I bought charge 4 for £129 after my last Fitbit just died ,and both before 2 years, I particularly wanted it because it had oxygen feature. I was really disappointed, also think it’s very expensive especially when you add price of the premium app! Sadly I’m not that rich! I’ve just purchased a new one £28 with an app and it has everything including all stats blood oxygen, blood pressure etc and the layout is (lookalike Fitbit) and app is free!! Sorry Fitbit ,I’ve been a customer since 2014 and the watches are dying quicker and quicker too expensive

I am a bit concerned with all of the chatter on-line about battery life, and the best Fitbit can come up with is; "Please note the battery life will depend on how frequent certain features are used such SpO2 tracking, Spotify app, and so on. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, but it's to take these conditions into consideration." I activated my Fitbit Charge 4 in August of 2021 and have not had an issue with it until last week, 02/08/2023, including a battery life of 4 to 5 days using the key exercise and sleep tracking features, phone and text notifications and nothing else. After the side button froze, I let the battery run down, recharged and now the best I get is 7 to 8 hrs of use before I need to recharge. I've also turned off off non-critical notifications, deleted SpO2 tracking, verified internal GPS is not in use, and I am still only getting 7 to 8 hrs of battery life. Needless to say, I am not pleased, and at this point would be happy if Fitbit would just admit we have all hit our estimated battery life expectancy, vs coming up with these silly recommendations on how to increase battery life, none of which work. And one more suggestion which might help on future Fitbit versions, and increase battery life. Offer a screen alternative without a date and time feature. As I shared, I use my Fitbit for exercise, sleep tracking and a few simple notifications, I have a phone and a watch if I need to know what time it is. . . .

Same problem here with the difference that I activated the Fitbit Charge 4 May 2022. Now I am having the same problem as of Feb 7, 2023, Fitbit holds up to 8 hours. GPS is off!
Previously no problem and easily achieved 4-5 days. Don't know if there has been an update but all very coincidental. Come on Fitbit come up with a solution, have been a Fitbit user with my wife since 2017 but am afraid this will be our last Fitbit, also considering problems from others. Unless you guys must produce a satisfactory solution. Of course, could also be that Google wants Fitbit to bleed to death to promote Google watch. What is your reaction to this?

I'm having the same issues, and it just started this month. My battery now drains after 24 hours. Before I could go a week without charging my Charge 4.

Dear people,
Our problem was nicely solved by Fitbit's service department. Problem of our charge 4 was still within warranty period and was nicely replaced. We are very satisfied.

My charge 4 battery just suddenly started losing its charge from 100% to dead in about 4 hours. If I want to use it at all, I have to charge and then get my activity in during that short period.
Customer service told me to keep charging it and then to sync at least 9 times while it has juice. Doesn't work. It's basically useless at this point.

Hi Chanelle 7
What brand is working well at that price range.
Im sick of buying a fitbit that only last a short while considering price and app add on’s.
3 month old Versa 4 and my battery has already stated to drain quicker than usual with no added usage by myself
Tks
