Hello there, @DAVE111. Welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for the details provided in your post about the issue with your Charge 4.

As you know, the battery life will depend on how frequent certain features are used such SpO2 tracking, Spotify app, and so on. This doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, but it's to take these conditions into consideration.

I'd recommend following the tips described in this help article to maximize the battery life, fully charge your Charge 4 using the charging cable that came in the box and monitor its behavior in the next days.

I've had the same problem since June 2nd! I hadn't changed any settings on my Charge 4 and normally get days of use out of a charge, and supplement with 20 to 30 mins charging each night while I'm in the shower. Then all of a sudden I woke up to find my battery was low after it was at least at 80% before going to bed. Ever since then I can't get more than 8 hrs out of it without it dying. I even reset the unit and have had it on sleep mode for days, so it barely uses any energy, and still no improvement on battery life. (And I haven't used GPS in weeks)

Fitbit Support Chat just told me my Charge 4 unit is defective, after it was perfectly fine for months, and will let me know what my options are via email.

I have the same problem. Battery was fine until last week then suddenly overnight draining completely in less than 2 hours (inactive). Tried all the battery saving tips recommended on this site but they make absolutely no difference and then tried back on settings the same as they have always been. Charge 4 is less than six months old so really not impressed with longevity and can’t understand how this can be acceptable or deemed fit for purpose. Asking users to turn off certain functions to conserve battery is not the answer, if the battery only has a limited lifespan the this should  be clearly stated at the point of sale. If there is a software issue, it needs to be fixed rapidly, if it is a hardware issue then product should be replaced without question. Batteries do not die overnight they gradually decline!

From a point of view of maintaining relations and customer loyalty, this should really be escalated by fitbit with the onus on actually resolving the issue.

Resolution or not will determine choice of next tracker branding purchased.

So far Fitbit Support is only offering 35% discount to anyone who is out of warranty. I was given a 35% discount code to use on their website on a replacement tracker, but it can't be combined with any other offers. The Charge 5 is already on sale, so the discount applies to the original price. It's bull, if they won't send a replacement and know that it's a common problem, then they need to offer a better discount/solution.
