Charge 4 battery issues

Good afternoon

I got a Charge 4 from Currys in June 2022 and I have had problems with it ever since.  First it wouldn't charge and then it kept saying it wasn't charging when I was wearing it (i.e. not even trying to charge it!). the screen kept getting lines down it or going black but still vibrating.

After numerous calls and chats Fitbit agreed it was faulty and that they would replace it.  I sent it off to them and they confirmed they had received it.  After two weeks I contacted them to see when the replacement would be sent out to be told that the rosewood was out of stock and I could only have black.  I didn't want black so contacted them again and was told I could have 50% off a new one or return to it to Currys for a full refund.  However I can't return it to Currys as they have it and say they can't return it to me!

Any suggestions?  I feel I'm going round in circles, I really don't want the black and as it was less than eight weeks old don't feel I should have to pay out 50% for the cost of another one.

I'd suggest hitting up the FitBit UK twitter account  - @FitbitUK - with the upshot of your situation. They'll probably ask for more info via Twitter DM.

Did they actually send you anything in writing (i.e. an email or SMS message or whatever) that they'd received the agreed faulty device at their end?

This is 'just' a community site made up mostly of regular users of the device. We do see Fitbit mods in every now and again - they'd probably suggest that you try the usual support channels (call them, online chat etc etc).

That's why I'm suggesting the Twitter route... their account is fairly active and, of course, if you bring your particular gripe up on such a public forum, you're pretty much guaranteed to get some dialogue between yourselves on the go.

Hope you get a positive outcome!!
