I just received my Fitbit Charge 4. I have installed the app, now the Fitbit does not react (black screen). My steps are registered in the app. My phone says it has been connected to the device. Battery is fully loaded. Can someone please help me?

Best AnswerSame issue with my birthday gift charge 4. Black, unresponsive screen during set up process. First and last experience of fitbit and I have already packaged it back up for return and full refund.
I’ve had my fitbit for about a week. It took forever to set up because the screen kept going black. I finally got it working and today the screen went blank again. It was just charged so that can’t be the problem. It appears that it’s still working, I can see the stats online but I can’t see anything on the screen. This Charge 4 has been a huge disappointment. What can I do to fix this? Or how can I return it?
Best AnswerHi I was having a problem, i just bought charge 4, I had a blaze no problem, I did all the steps, tried for days, I charged my charge via my computer usb, then i thought maybe if i put it in a different usb not on my computer and did the setup via my mobile phone, well my problem worked, by doing via my phone, I hope you get your problem fixed.
Best AnswerMine was also dead out of the box. Sent it back over 10 days ago and because of the super slow shipping Fit uses, it will take over two weeks just to reach Fitbit. Once they finally receive it, it will take another 5 business days for them to verify the return and another 5-7 business days to send me a replacement. This means it will take almost a month to get a replacement for a brand new Fitbit that was dead out of the box. If I had bought this from Wal Mart I would have had a replacement the same day. The only reason I bought it from Fitbit directly is they gave me a discount on the Charge 4 because I had 2 charge 3s stop working in just over a year.
My son has a smart watch from another company and a button stopped working at 9 months. They sent him a brand new one the same day we called them via 2 day FedEx without us sending the old one in first. I will know better next time.

Mine has done exactly the same and it would appear that nobody has any information on how to Cory this problem! I’m still waiting for the team to get back to me with a solution.
I’m probably just going to take it back to curry’s and get my money back because this is a joke!
Best AnswerRelax! Just charge it and keep it untouched for a day. Try next day, it will wake up and will never give you any problem once paired. I replaced 1st one thinking it as bad, but actually this is common to almost all charge 4's.
This happens most likely when charged with mobile chargers (high charging current). Use laptop only to charge it.
