Started yesterday. Blank screen. Battery life greatly reduced the last week or two. Having to charge every few days. Screen display now intermittent at best.
But seems to display again after a quick charge. Even though battery is reads OK. Frustrating.

Hi, @sachsjoh. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.
For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our support team.
See you around.

Interesting that all would go blank on the exact same day. This was my second Fitbit , first one died after two years as well. I think they must only make them to last a few years so I will never buy an expensive one. I replaced mine with a used one I found on local buy sell trade

My Charge 4 also decided to quit yesterday out of the blue. Tried to charge it and it gave me a smiley face for a second then blank screen, then it would pulse buzz for a bit now it won’t do anything. I cleaned all the connections and it wasn’t out in the sun. I’ve had this product for a year and a month. Really liked it until a couple months ago when it would stop buzzing me for text notifications. What’s going on FitBit?

My Charge 4 also started dimming last night and now I can't see the screen although it is still vibrating when I press the button. I tried restarting it by following the instructions but still can't see the face of the watch etc.
The smiley face did turn on for the restart. There is still a vibration when I press the button while it is charging. Battery is more than 50% so it is not because it is running of battery.
I see the other comments in this community and it seems our Charge 4 are all starting to have problems around the same time.
Help! I can't see the screen to go to 'settings' and restarting it has not worked!

Same with me mine and was offered the discount as well. This was my second one. I’m personally thinking of not getting another one. I don’t replace my phone every two years I’m not going to replace a tracker every two years. They aren’t even making it the two year mark for me.

Yep. Yesterday, suddenly my My Charge 4's screen would not come on at all. Pushing the side button caused it to pulse vibrate. Phone couldn't register a Bluetooth connection. I tried restarting. Plugged in the Fit Bit, but nothing worked. Now it doesn't even vibrate. I think it is dead and done. 😥
Update - I had purchased mine through Costco a little over a year ago. On Sunday, I took my dead one in and Costco gave me a refund. I went ahead and purchased a new Charge 5 for the same price I paid for the Charge 4 a year ago. These things should definitely last more than a year, but if I can continue to get it replaced with a new model each time... I'll be frustrated, but not pissed off.

This happened to my Fitbit Charge 4 this week too. I have charged it. I tried restarting it, but still no screen display. It vibrates when I hold the button or plug it into to charge, but nothing else. It was still syncing to the phone app for a day or two, which allowed me to see battery was good. Then, I read a help/support comment that said to remove it from app and retry setup. Well, that failed since the Fitbit display wasn’t working. I couldn’t see the pin to enter into the App.
are their replacements or discounts available to purchase a new Fitbit device?

My screen has gone blank and won't come back on. I noticed a firmware version that happened less than 30 minutes ago. Is this what is causing it and if so, what do we do about it? Is the screen going black due to the updated firmware version? If so, please put the last version back on because it has been working perfectly until then.

Seems they just want us to get new ones. I thought about it, but then I decided not to. Friend talked me into finally getting an Apple Watch. So waiting on that and then will just link my steps for community reason because I love the people in the community groups.

Agree. It doesn't make sense to get a new Fitbit knowing that its lifespan can be less than one and a half years, like mine.
So far Fitbit has not responded with any solution to our problems described earlier which happened within the last one week or so. How can it be a coincidence our Fitbits decided to stop working well around the same time?
