My charge 4 band broke and a piece of it broke off where the band and watch meet. I bought the watch May 8 2021. What am I able to do?

Hi there, @malheindel. Welcome on board.

Thanks for your question about why we offered a discount towards a new Fitbit product instead of a replacement of your existing Fitbit product. Our limited warranty provides repair or replacement of products that have a defect while still in the warranty period. Your device is out of the warranty period, and therefore is not eligible for repair or replacement, but we want to offer you a discount to thank you for your loyalty to Fitbit.

For more information about our warranty, see fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty.

If you have any further questions regarding the outcome of your case, please feel free to contact our team back so they can continue assisting you.

Thanks for your under sting. Have a good day!

Hi there, @Dpurvis. Welcome to the Community Forums.

As @Odyssey13 has suggested, please note when a tracker suffers damage while under warranty, you can contact Customer Support. Discounts and replacements depend on tracker model and other factors.

However, as our warranty states, it doesn't apply to damage or defects caused by:

(a) use with non-Fitbit products

(b) accident, abuse, misuse, mishandling, flood, fire, earthquake or other external causes

(c) normal wear and tear or aging of the Product such as discoloration or stretching

(d) operating the Product:

     (i) outside the permitted or intended uses described by Fitbit

(ii) not in accordance with instructions provided by Fitbit

(iii) with improper voltage or power supply.

For more information about this, you can check our warranty policy.

See you around.

My Charge 4 gave me the same problem as of this week.  But I have used it since July 2020.  Of course mine is  out of warranty now.  I was offered a 35% discount on regular priced replacements or buy another that is on closeout pricing.  Not great value in google fitbit products for the cost.

My Charge 4 died last summer (2021).     They sent me a new one (sans band).  Now, 8-9 months later one of the connection pieces on the "new" replacement Charge 4 body just snapped off.    I'm guessing that since my original purchase date was January 2021 that the "replacement" is going to be out of warranty (past the original 1 yr. warranty period)...even though that part is only 8-9 months old. Talked to Customer Service and they let me know what my "options" are...35% discount off a new tracker.  :-(.

Seriously FitBit...this is a known issue.  Now I'm out a tracker because your NEW REPLACEMENT tracker only lasted 9 mo. before it broke.

SuperGlue to the rescue...I hope it hold for awhile.  Not sure if I'll ever purchase another Fitbit!
