Charge 4: dead: restart doesn't work,smiley appears,looks as if the button on the left side is stuck

My Charge 4 doesn't do anything anymore. I've restarted it with the cable (don't know if thats the right word), and a smiley appeared, but it din't start working. I also selected 'clocks' on my mobile phone but the screen stays black. It doesn's synchronize with my mobile anymore and it looks as if the button on the lelft side of the fitbit is stuck inside, so it can't be pushed anymore. 
Anyone any idea what is going on and how to solve this problem?

I tapped on my lightly from the top and the button freed up. Mine would not do anything I let it charge over night next morning it woke up so I did a factory reset and it had to be set up like it was new. I lost nothing and working like it should. A reboot did not help. The key is to do factory reset if it wakes up.  A reboot would make the  🙂 come up but it would not turn back on.

My screen goes black. It recharges and works, but it only lasts a few days. Before this problem started, I could get 7 days out of a charge. 


How do you do a factory reset??

 

This is my second Fitbit. I could have bought an Apple Watch with what I’ve spent so far, plus a little extra!  🤦‍:female_sign:

I contacted Support through live chat.  After trying options, she said support would contact me through email.  The one thing not tried was a factory reset.  The email said my Charge 4 was out of warranty but I could purchase a new device with a discounted code.  Did anyone else try a factory reset and did it work?
