i hadnt used my charge 4 in a year but when i started using it again, it hasnt been working right. it keeps saying i didnt run as far as i did. one time i ran a mile and it said i only ran .75 miles at a 10 or so pace (my real time was about 7:30 and today i ran and it again said that i ran a 10 minute mile but i ran farther and not on a track so im not sure of the actual distance (gps wasnt connecting so i couldnt see my distance on a map)

my guess is it is saying i ran .75 of my actual distance

Welcome to the forums @thomas.h

Thanks for providing the details regarding this situation with your Charge 4.

I don't know if you are still experiencing the same behavior on your tracker. If yes, please, follow these steps:

Fitbit devices calculate distance based on the device’s accelerometer data and stride length setting.

When you track an exercise with GPS, both GPS and accelerometer data are used to calculate the distance shown in the Fitbit app. For more information about accuracy, check the article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?.

If you've not done so, I'd recommend to try the following:

  1. Check if the Fitbit app is updated.
  2. Restart your Charge 4 while having it plugged into the charging cable as described here.
  3. Open the Fitbit app and wait until your tracker has synced.
  4. Track your exercise one more time using the exercise app. Once you're done, sync and check your details.
