My fitbit (2 years old, worn continuously apart from charging and when I wear a dress watch) has become prone to turning itself off. The hard reset process (attach to charger and hold button until the smiley face appears) seems to be very temperamental - never first time and at the moment not working at all. Any ideas?

Hi there, @Bdgr42. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Charge 4 before reaching out.
To better assist you, please make sure you've restarted your Fitbit device as suggested here How do I restart my Fitbit device?. If the restart doesn't work try to change your clock face. If this fixes the issue, you can change your clock face back to the original clock face.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Maria
The reset doesn't work - that is exactly the problem. I've changed the clock face via the app, but to no avail. The fitbit still talks to my phone, and collects data - so it seems to be a display problem.
What next?
