Charge 4 not syncing

My charge 4 app keeps saying syncing and “looking” and it’s been 20 mins so far

I've had my Charge 4 since Christmas and syncing with my phone is a regal pain in the behind. About twice a week I need to try the forced stop on the app, restarting bluetooth and then, often restarting the phone. Yesterday I had serious problems even resetting the device and took ages to finally get it to sync. It really shouldn't be this difficult. I never had any problems like this with my old Huawei Band 4
