Charge 4 screen wake isn't working

The only way I can get the charge 4 to display is to push the button on the side. Seems to have started about 4 days ago or so.

Thanks

Hi @JEBHeaton. I hope you're doing well.

You're welcome and thanks to you for your efforts in troubleshooting your tracker. You're right about the options available in the Settings app, however you need to go to the Quick Settings section to find the Screen Wake setting.

That being said, on your Charge 4, press and hold the button to access the Quick Settings, you'll get DND, Sleep and if you scroll down you'll get Screen Wake. If you see this icon dim with a line through it, tap on it to turn it On.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Lizzy

What you didn’t mention and I was unaware of (because I’m set up for contactless payment on my Charge 4) is that Quick settings only appears after long press produces “Tap to unlock” screen. THEN a left swipe enables you to see DND etc.
Yay! I’ve found Screen wake at last. And it works. Hurrah! Thanks for your time, and for those with payment app set up on their Charge 4, follow steps above 🥳

Best wishes
Janet

my sleep isn't grayed out... how do I change this?

Best Answer

Hi there, @2000184204262.

Thanks for joining this thread and just to confirm, do you mean that the Sleep Mode is grayed out? If this is correct, that means it's turned off and your Charge 4 will turn on when moving your wrist or receiving notifications. In case you want to turn it on, just press and hold the button, swipe left to access the quick settings screen and tap that setting to turn it back on. Check this help article to find more details about your tracker's settings.

I so appreciate having forums for easy obvious fixes to simple problems. Obviously I had inadvertently triggered DND and Sleep settings. So I tapped them to “off.”  Problem solved.

I didn’t even know about all the options. Technology challenged here. Thanks

It was awhile ago but I found the solution on the forum. But basically somehow I had unknowingly turned on the “do not disturb” setting. I reset it to “off” on my FitBit by side swiping to the “settings” option then scrolling down to “DND.” That worked for me. Hope that works for you.

@Tamali Thanks for joining this thread. As our members mentioned, please make sure the DND and Sleep Mode are turned off. These settings will prevent your tracker from receiving notifications and turning on when moving your wrist. To check this, press and hold the button, swipe left to access the quick settings screen and tap a setting to turn it on or off.

I tried all the options listed and wake screen is still not working. I get the quick settings menu and I've turned on Screen Wake and turned off DND and Sleep. It's still not turning on when I turn over my wrist. It was doing it when I first got the watch, but hasn't worked for months.

Getting frustrated.
