It will no longer sync or recognize the app installed on phone. I have uninstalled app and reinstalled, rebooted charge 4, will give the 4 digit number to setup, but only displays download or update app. Everything is updated as I just downloaded and still will not setup.

Hi there @Julro7. Welcome to Community Forums.
I appreciate you shared your experience with the Community. I'd suggest you update the Fitbit Firmware and OS of your mobile device, then unpair the Fitbit device and your mobile device, delete the Fitbit Charge 4 from the Fitbit app, and then pair them again by following these instructions.
Also you can try to restart your device after performing the previous steps.
