Discovered that the Charge is being discontinued.
That concerns me being that I just bought one a couple of weeks ago. I've already had trouble and they are sending me a new one. Don't disappoint me, FitBit!

Funnily enough the same thing just happened to me. I got a replacement , and in less than a year the band is coming apart... Let's see what happens now....
Put a dab of super glue on it, fixed mine in May and it is still going strong.

If it's only 7 months old, contact customer support and they will send you a new one. My fix is for devices that are out of warrenty.

How do I connect the charge with the IOS app?

Hi, @nicolasrainey, on the account screen scroll to "set up a new device" and follow the instructions there. If that does not answer your question please post again being more specific about what your issue is and what problems you are encountering.

I have a Charge that won't even turn on anymore. It's old and I no longer have the receipt. What would Fitbit be willing to do? Does anyone know if I'd get a replacement? And if so would it be the Alta or a Charge 2?

Hi, @smr1, if your Charge is still under warranty then Fitbit will probably offer you the closest equivalent device, which I think is the Alta, or a discount on another Fitbit device of your choice. Usually you do not need a receipt for warranty claims, as they will be able to tell from the original registration date on your Fitbit account how old the tracker is.
If it is out of warranty (one year most of the world, two years in the EEA) then they may, entirely at their discretion, offer you a discount on a replacemnt product. (Fitbit is pretty nice that way) It is always worth asking!

I got a fitbit charge a year ago and the band is peeling off, do you know where I can purchase a new one?

Hi everyone! Great to have you all in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
As a general way to address this concern for anyone who may have questions about this, while we’ll continue to support our Fitbit Charge users, we’ve decided to discontinue selling the Fitbit charge a while ago due to our latest trackers that have the same but improved and added features. If you'd like to compare our newest models, click here.
If you have any more questions on this, feel free to let me or any other moderator know.

I’ve just had a private message from Fitbit telling me my comment was removed. This was a comment stating my experience of their customer service and policies was disgraceful.I bought two devices costing hundreds of pounds which failed within 3 months due to poor construction and materials and Fitbit weren’t interested. They wouldn’t replace the two charge HR,s after the bands fell apart after normal use and were wiped down and dried after every use but Fitbit didn’t care or do anything to help. Now I’ve been told that my comments inflammatory and has been removed, in my opinion to cover up their poor products and policies and the terrible way in which my situation was handled.I was left with two useless devices and out of pocket for hundreds of pounds and Fitbit took their money and ran.

The charge I have no longer connected to the fitbit app. I called and the result was I ended up having to get a new fitbit. I don't want to keep investing in something which makes my device obsolete so I have to keep purchasing newer devices.

I am really concerned about my Charge 3 being discontinued. Had it 6 months just got a new one sent to me. What should get instead?

Hi, @Heyseuss and @terpgrace3 the original Fitbit Charge is a really old device (maybe 5 years?).
Fitbit always continues to support its older devices, but sometimes, like all electronics, they no longer work effectively. As I am sure you know, all rechargeable batteries have a limited lifespan. However, having said that I still have a Fitbit One, which was discontinued a couple of years ago, is still going strong, and still works on my account.
So just because there is a new Fitbit out, if you are still happy with the old one, you can be confident that Fitbit will still work with you!
