Charge GPS mapping stopped working

I have been using my charge 2 for over 1 year.  Until June 1 it reasonably tracked my routes and mileages.  For the past two weeks it has stopped tracking properly.  It draws straight lines between several points and doesn't report the distance at all.  What happened around June 1?

@Andyfitz Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your GPS data recording. You can try refreshing the link between your phone and your Charge 2 by doing the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

It worked. I followed them exactly and it tracked my bike ride as it
should. Thanks for your help.

I actually spoke too soon.  It worked that first day and then subsequently failed to track properly. I had hoped the most recent update would have fixed the problem but it too only worked one day.  what has happened?
