I've been an obsessed FitBit user for over 5 years, but have always used a clip style tracker (FibBit Zip or One) and clipped it either to my bra or my waistband. I just got the Charge2 wristband tracker and comparing it to my FitBit One tracker that I still have. The Charge2 seems to be registering much less steps than my one. Although it's just walking around the house activity this morning, but my One is showing almost double the steps as the Charge2 (768 versus 445). It's brand new (received yesterday) not sure if there is a way to calibrate it? I believe I remember doing this in the past but not sure if that is required for these newer models?

@KBeck64 It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't counting all your steps. This is odd as the Charge 2 is subject to much more movement as it is worn on your wrist not on your torso. Still I suggest you wear it on your dominant hand but select that hand as non dominant on your tracker's settings so it is more sensitive to movement. You can also restart your tracker by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
Wear your tracker and see how it behaves.
Let me know how it goes!

Best AnswerI am experiencing the same problem of stairs and steps not being counted properly. Not only that but I have to go to my Fitbit app on my phone and sync every hour for it to pick up my steps from my Fitbit. If I don't do this every hour, it looks as if I have not moved all day long! I cannot find an update on my phone or Fitbit.
