Charge2 issues

Charging issues- plugged into charger seemed to be charging, unplugged it and no charge. Plugged in and reset by powering off/on. Unplugged and seemed to have an 80% charge. Within 3 hours completely dead again. 

Also, not sure if there's any c0nnection here but one of the green sensor lights on the back went out about a month ago. This Fitbit was a Christmas gift for my son (2017). Any thoughts? Still under warranty?

A green sensor light went off a month ago? Any chance that your Charge 2 was submerged into water, and you are not aware of that?
