@Skeaney1027 , nice to see you here. Thank you for your message and efforts.
Please check that the energy saving mode and the do not disturb option (mute) are switched off on the mobile phone.
Also, please allow the Fitbit app running in the background.
Further more, make sure that no other Bluetooth device is connected to the cell phone or nearby. (headphones, keyboards, etc.)

So far, after unpairing from bluetooth, rebooting both (charge 4 and mobile phone) and uninstalling and reinstalling/checking for updates and ripping my hair out many hrs/days of trying to figure it all out I am receiving notifications on my charge 4. 1 more thing I need to work out but I have a feeling it's to do with my settings on my mobile phone.
Otherwise I am satisfied that its back to normal again 😆
