Charge4 showing activity on Dashboard but not in Log

Hi all,

rather bizarrely, my Charge4 has decided not to log the steps I did on December 3rd. I can see them clearly on the Dashboard but there's not mention of them in the log. I need them to appear (organically) in the log so as I get my Vitality points. Have I done something daft? All the other days are fine.

over to you

Eddie 🙂

Can you clarify "the log" and "the Dashboard"?  These terms might not signify the same thing to everyone.

Good point!

I'm logged in on Google Chrome on a laptop, not the app. The four tabs are Dashboard - Log - Community - Store. These are the 'Dashboard' and 'Log' I'm referring too.

Here are some screen grabs as well. In the Activity History of the Log, there's no mention of the steps that are displayed in the Dashboard view.

So this is all on fitbit.com, comparing dashboard daily steps graph vs. Log Activities Today Steps. Right?  Not really looking at "Activity History", right?

And that Log > Activity > Steps chart is where your "Vitality" points are getting taken from? Are you sure?  Is that some kind of health insurance benefit?

Mine is doing the same thing. Shows on the dashboard and not the history log. Started (or stopped working) on Nov 23. Also the sleep log is not working. Help!!!

Hi Johnny,

correct, this is all on fitbit.com and Vitality is in deed a health insurance benefit. I assumed Vitality took their info from the "Activity History" of the Log but I've just checked again and all of a sudden Vitality has recorded my step count for the 3rd and awarded me the appropriate points. Awesome!

However, it's still not listed in the Activity History on fitbit.com. Not-so-Awesome!

Contrary to others, my sleep (lack of) is still being recorded fine.

I'm not overly fussed now that I have my points on Vitality but I'll be more scrupulous in the future.

thank you for your help.

The Activity History just includes activities actually classified as workouts, not all steps.  That's a whole other topic - what counts as an "exercise session": basically anything you record with the Exercise App, anything that is auto-recognized as an exercise session, and maybe anything that is manually logged as a workout.
