Counting steps when i move arm

My husband got me charger 2 for christmas. Noticing if I move my arm that I wear fitbit on counts the steps. Just wondering if this is normal or how would I go about fixing it.

Both my husband's and my Fitbit do this. He has been getting 27,000 steps almost daily with waking up already having 750-1,000 steps. We wear it on the less dominant hand, have made sure the settings are where they should be, restarted it, all to no avail. For the price, it's absurd. After wearing ours for almost 2 years now and initially returning the first ones as we thought they were broke, we will just go back to wearing our watches.

ours have done that too. I think they need to rethink this whole product.

I do not like false steps. Please reconfigure the arm movement as steps taken. Stop counting my arm movements!

My replacement Charge 2 band broke, as did the first one.. both times the watch became more than loose.. it fell off.

I’m done.

This could be an easy way for people to falsely add steps... stand still, rapidly (and rhythmically} raise and lower the hand/arm for several minutes and voila... extra steps (and some puzzled looks from others).

I know what you mean. I got a Fitbit versa for Christmas and it logged over 350 steps and I never left my couch.

I don't see how this could even be remotely accurate.

Mine too..... I apparently walked over a half mile while in bed.

I feel like I wasted my money on this junk.

FRUSTRATED!
