The screen has cracked in 2 places all the way down the centre and on the left hand side on my fitbit 2. It still works fine but I would like to get the screen replaced. Any ideas please

Seems to be very common. Won’t buy another one.

You know Very Well that they will refuse to replace those which are over a year old !! Why pretend there is a possible solution when there isn’t?!! The facts are :- you have supplied to the market (US) a faulty product You Know it is faulty!!  Yet if enough people don’t bother to complain, you can continue selling a product you Know is likely to Fail . You are treating us like imbeciles , offering 25% discount on a new one - so you Still get to make a profit from your failed product . You won’t from me

Mine is only a few months old and they are only offering a discount on a new one.  It’s extremely frustrating.  Fitbit used to have great customer service and stood behind their products but I’m sorry to say things have changed.  I’m so upset about this right now.  Another thing to put into the landfill.

Mine is almost 2 years old and they offered the 25% discount to replace. Have Extended Visa coverage but they want an estimate from an authorized repair center, which Fitbit does not have. How do we get these defective fitbits repaired?

My Charge 2 display screen is vertically cracked (from the inside out) and slightly bowed out. I brought it to a tech repair shop (not related to Fitbit) to see if the screen could be replaced. I was told that if the part was even available it would be cheaper to replace the whole tracker.  They also told me that lithium battery swelling was most likely the cause of the cracked display screen since it was also bowed out.

Hi. Thanks. Just to let you know, I bought my Fitbit with my visa and have a year extra warranty. Sent info into visa and they sent the full amount that I had paid.

Ridiculous, since apparently it can be replaced! Why aren’t they offering this?

I've always had to wonder what people are tapping the screen with when they crack their screens? Must be using hammers. I've had my Charge2 for quite a while now and haven't had any issues with it or the screen. One thing I learned real quick is, DON'T tap the screen itself. Tap the place where the wrist band connects to the pebble. That has the happy side effect of keeping my grubby fingers off the screen.

Also, I said TAP. Don't hammer!

Wow - I received my fitbit charge 2 in 2016 for my birthday - within a year it started with a crack out of nowhere - and like so many others - wondered where did it even come from?  3 years later - it is still working but crack has moved to right and left and looks like a stick man with arms up in air.  Getting so bad that I went looking for a replacement screen on this site - and found this thread with SO many others having exact same product!  I'm was thinking of getting a versa for my daughter -but not sure now since this is a known flaw.  Maybe the bigger screens are okay?   Looks like no replacement screen available then from what I can tell by all the responses - didn't read them all so not sure if that is correct?  I've loved my charge 2 - except for the screen cracks!

Hi I’m glad I came on, my has happened the same.  I woke up this morning to two cracks identical down the face top to bottom.  No bang/ bump.    It still works but I’m worried it will get even more damaged.

I put a zagg screen protector on mine. It hasn’t gotten any worse but I will not buy another fitbit product.
