Hi Fitbit team.
I love all the fitbit's I have and have used but it would be great if you can develop a way for the watch to show avg HR for the day rather than resting HR.
Will be a great addition to the product

Just curious - what use could average heart rate have? Would you want it high or low?
It seems to me not a good measurement of anything. Having a low resting heart rate is generally an indication of being in decent shape. But getting in shape involves exercising which gets the heart rate higher while exercising. In a roundabout way, it's good to have a big range of heartrates during a day, which makes the average nearly meaningless.

Hi Jonny. Thank for your reply. I currently require my avg HR to determine is a medication I am taking is improving my health condition. The resting HR is not helpful as a measure of this, as it includes when you sleep and therefore does not give an accurate account of HR function during wakeful moments. The avg. HR is present during exercise mode, but I do not exercise all day or at least my device does not pick up movement as exercise. A low resting HR may indicate fitness, but may also indicate a poor heart function and ability to generate sufficient flow from then heart or ability to manage the metabolic fx. I currently have a resting HR of 60 but by no means in the range of fit. Hope that answers your questionm
