1. A few days ago a replacement Charge 3 started showing the same symptoms as the Tracker Fitbit replaced - Black lines appeared across the screen. After a couple of days the screen was becoming unreadable and non-responsive.
2. I contacted the Help Chat Line and was told I had missed a Firmware update and that would fix the problem. Well, apart from taking nearly an hour to complete, the Tracker was no better. In fact, it was worse because it would no longer hold a charge. It lasted less than 12 hours and I could see the percentage dropping literally.
3. Unfortunately this tracker was out of warranty and Fitbit could only offer me a replacement with a 35% discount. As this was a repeat fault on two trackers I wasn't impressed and despite receiving an email advising me of this discount with a paragraph saying I could reply directly this email - I couldn't because Fitbit don't communicate with two-way emails.
4. Today (Wednesday 23rd Sept 2020) I went back on the Chat Line and despite having a record of considerable fault finding options, the Agent started the whole 'restart' etc., procedures again. I explained this was pointless but I connected my Tracker to the charger and guess what..?? No, it wasn't working in was I thought completely flat. I thought a recharge might help but when I did charge it (or thought I had charged it) the screen was completely black, whenever I touched the button the tracker vibrated and buzzed and the red light was constantly on. I held the button for 15seconds and it buzzed and vibrated for 15 seconds.
5. Now, whether connected or not, the red light is on and screen black and it buzzes and vibrates whenever the button is press.
6. Well, Fitbit eventually gave me a 50% discount on a new Tracker and I have ordered a Charge 4 but I am still miffed that two trackers would fail with the same fault and the second one has completely chucked the towel in. I live on a Vet Pension and have had to do a lot of budgeting to pay for a new tracker which I do use a lot........
7. I think Fitbit need to investigate this problem and perhaps send me a return note so I can send it back to them for investigating ...... ?

Interesting... I just had a very similar experience with my charge 3 yesterday / today. Noticed I had sudden severe battery drain. Tried a normal reboot, and then suddenly the screen started having weird glitches (screen would shift sideways and then wrap around to the other side of the screen, would get pixilation that looked like tv static, etc.). Tried a long reboot, but took about 10 attempts for it to actually go through and not do the short reboot. This was only a few days after doing the firmware update...
Next day, fitbit screen will no longer turn on, and no lights on the sensors. Even after charging, screen was unresponsive. Strangely, when I pressed the side button, the fitbit would strongly vibrate until I released the button. Fitbit chat could not really help and they too offered me a 35% off code. Could just be a coincidence, but seems suspect for this to happen right after a firmware update, and also hear about someone having VERY similar issues...
