I get this error message on my Android phone when I try to synch with the fitbit app.  I have a Samsung .  My app has not synched since October 23rd.  Any suggestions?  I've tried everything suggested on the boards.

Thanks

I tried turning the phone off and on and also turning the fitbit off and on.I also deleted and reinstalled the app.   It took a day but the app is synching again and finding the fitbit.  Not sure which action or actions provided the fix. thanks everyone for your help.

Hello,

I've just spent some time trying to sync my son's fitbit after a couple of months not used.  In the end, connected it to the PC (download the PC app from windows) via cable.  It updated the firmware on the fitbit and now it's working with the phone again.

Hope you can get it to work, it's so frustrating!

I had the same problem,  tried all suggestions, was about to uninstall & reinstall the app when I saw there had been a recent update. I installed the update & that fixed it.

I reinstalled the app to phone and turned phone off and back on. It still says device not found. I was also having problems with the windows app but that one is working now. I only use my phone to track gps for my walks and if it doesn't recognize device I can't update any info. So I have gone back to my charge 2 which I love just wished battery was better.

on my android phone, I have an app called smart things . It lets apps talk
to each other. I found I have to have that working for the fitbit to find
the device. I admit this is very frustrating and does make me feel like I
should look at another vendor.

I have another cheaper fitness tracker and it doesn't have any of the problems I have with fitbit. The other one syncs with bluetooth and it doesn't have to be connected to internet to work unlike the fitbit. They need to have a device that has a long lasting battery. Not just a week longer like 14 days or more.

This happens to me every day. Don't know why. I have to keep trying & trying to get it to sync. Logging out & back, reinstalling the app, sometimes works, but who wants to do that & lose their stats every day.

I was hoping Fitbit might answer, with something sensible than their normal, shut down, disconnect, make sure its not connected anywhere else, try again, answer.
Thinking you might be right. Thanks.
