Device not recognizing activities

Hi, I've just replaced my Charge 3 as the old one stopped recognising exercises a while ago and then the screen died completely. The screen on this new one is much better than the old one ever was, but I'm disappointed and angry that this one doesn't recognise activities either. I know I can log them by turning them on and off myself, but I liked when I used to jump in the pool or on a bike and it was automatically recorded. I've been using a Fitbit for years, but I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone anymore.

Hi @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention and the details that were shared with me, I totally understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. If you haven't already done so, I suggest you to follow the next steps to restart your Charge 3 and refresh its performance:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 3—press and hold the button on your tracker for 8 seconds. Release the button. When you see a smile icon and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted and let me know if the issue persists.
