Died when swimming

Tonight I was in the pool and my fitbit charge 4 went weird. It kept saying that I had to connect to the charger, something like attach properly to charger (i think). Came home put it on to charge, got a smilie face then nothing. Took it back of to make sure the charger etc were all clean and noticed condensation in the the back bit where the charging point it.  Is it goosed? What do I do now?

I'm pretty sure the Charge 4 isn't waterproof, I only know of one Fitbit that is/was.

I've been swimming with it on for 1,1/2 yrs so it is waterproof

Yesterday my Charge 4 (after 1.5 years of use) did the same thing while I was swimming my laps.  The smilie face came up but then faded away--even after 12 hours of charging I'm getting nothing. I'm going to try the Charge 5 but I don't know about this "water resistance" guarantee.

I ended up contacting fitbit, they asked me to put it on the charger and
whilst on charge to hold side button for 8 seconds and still nothing. I'm
getting a discount for 50% off a new one or a replacement for the charge 4

That's great!  I'll try that but I've already ordered my new Charge 5.  Hopefully we will both have better luck.
