The brightness of the clock face of my Charge 2 started to fade and now is barely visible.  How can this be fixed?  No, it does not need charged.

Hi @SunsetRunner, welcome to the Community Forums!

I appreciate the details that were shared in your post, certainly the display of your Charge 2 isn't working as the way it was designed because with its brightness, your device display should be easy or enough to be read. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to try the below steps to restart your device:

  1. Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.
  2. Clip the other end of the charging cable to the port on the back of the tracker. The pins on the charging cable must lock securely with the port.
  3. Make sure the button on your tracker is aligned with the button opening on the charging cable. You’ll know the connection is secure when the tracker vibrates and you see a battery icon on your tracker’s display.
  4. Press and hold the button to restart your tracker:
    • For Charge 2—press and hold the button on your tracker for 4 seconds. When you see the Fitbit logo and the tracker vibrates, the tracker restarted.
  5. Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.

Keep me posted and let me know how it goes.
