Dim screen solution before you replace Charge 3

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Customer support reps need to go beyond "restarting the device" suggestion. My problem was solved by going to settings on my device and changing from "dim" to "bright." I was told to do this before replacing my Charge 3 by a supervisor, the fourth person I spoke to about the issue.

I’ve found that solution too. However mine seems to change back to dim constantly and it’s not on auto. I don’t get it.

This doesn't apply to my charge 3 as I've only got auto and normal

Hello @morris.bl@Vickms21. Welcome to the community forums. @Tracyblue It's nice to see you around.

@morris.bl Thank you for the detailed information and for your feedback. @morris.bl, @Vickms21, @Tracyblue I'd like to let you know that the brightness on the Charge 3 can be adjusted by following the instructions from the manual on page 19. It can actually be changed in the Settings App on your Charge 3. Also, I remember that the Brightness setting can only be changed to Auto or Normal.

Additionally, it is also recommended to see if the Charge 3 hasn't going into Sleep or DND mode. When any of these settings are activated:

  • Notifications don't cause the tracker to vibrate or the screen to turn on.
  • The screen's brightness is set to dim.
  • Turning your wrist won't cause the tracker’s screen to turn on.

To change this, press and hold the button, and swipe left to access the quick settings screen. Tap a setting to turn it on or off. When you turn off the setting, the icon appears dim with a line through it. For more information, see How do I navigate my Fitbit device?

Hope this helps.
