Distance Inaccurate

I am using a Fitbit Charge 2 for GPS tracking of my running activities.  Why Fitbit is showing around 10% extra distance?  I have tested it many time for known distances 5km and 10km.  Fitbit Charge 2 records close to 5.5km and nearly 11km.  In one occasion it recorded 11.4km for 10km race. This gives a wrong impression of the pace when actually running slower than it shows. Not good for practice sessions.

Have you set your running stride yet?

It's on automatic. When running with GPS stride length is irrelevant.

That would be true if the Charge 2 used gps to measure distance, users have confirmed that it does not!

That is incorrect. When running with GPS connected, it uses GPS calculated distance.

To prove that I tried manually putting half my stride length. No it does not take manual stride length when GPS is connected.
