Hi Fitbit,
Like similar users, I chose the Charge 4 due to its inbuilt altimeter. Other step counters only measure on a flat plane from point A to B, as a hiker this throws out your step count and distance travelled if your climbing 45 degree inclines for example. Seems the altimeter is not functional if it dosnt actually measure distance inconjunction with increased/decreased altitude. Honestly seems quite misleading 😔.

Please make sure to track your hiking activities by following the steps in this article in the menu "How do I start and stop a workout on my Fitbit device?".
Whether you continue having difficulties, please provide the following information:
- Are you tracking your hiking activities using the in-built GPS?
- Is the map of your activity not showing the elevation gained?
- Have you checked your activities in the online Dashboard here?
