Are you using connected-GPS from phone? Have to know that to answer the question.

I do not carry my phone with me when I run, bike or walk. Is there a way around that to get it to track distance accurately?

@TerriF1965 With Charge 2, without phone nearby there is no way to get biking distance. For walking or running, it estimates distance as number of steps times stride length.

Thanks, Johnny Row. It has been frustrating because when I walk or run with my husband or one of my kids, all of whom have the iWatch, my Fitbit consistently shows a much shorter distance than their iWatch does.

@TerriF1965 I have no idea if the iWatch has GPS. But you might try checking your stride length, or if you trust the iWatch numbers, just gradually increase your stride length until it gives same distance as theirs.
