My charge 3 doesn’t calculate my exercise distance?? Can I do something to change settings? 
it has never done this. Also, so slow to sync with my iPhone.

Hi @Jo-Biddle which mode are you using to record your unknown exercise?

Is this a walk, run, or bike  outside or maybe something like a stationary bike or treadmill?

If your letting Fitbit detect your exercise, then distance will not be calculated. 

If your using the phones GPS yes distance will be calculated.

Or or you asking why bike miles are not added to the daily  total, this is because bike is not a step based exercise..

Your not using outdoor workout are you?

Thanks for your reply. I choose my exercise eg. Bike and I don’t know why it doesn’t show my distance on the app. It has never done this.

I can’t see the route I have taken nor the kilometres I have done. At the end of exercise when I finish it I will give me the time and heart rate etc but nothing about distance and route. 

Could it be something with my phone (iPhone 7). 
it also takes me ages to sync Fitbit with the app on the phone.

It sounds as if the Charge 3 was never able to obtain a GPS lock with your phone. 

There will be a GPS status available at the top of the Charge 3 if the gps link was lost
